II. TASKS <br />Task 1-Data Gathering <br />The Contractor will review existing survey data, existing San Leandro Storm Drain System <br />information and existing San Leandro hydrology/hydraulic standards; perform field <br />reconnaissance of the study areas; discuss/revise existing City standards with City staff and City <br />Engineer; prepare a technical memorandum documenting information gathered and analysis <br />strategies; and conduct limited field work to verify the City's storm drain structure locations, <br />facilities, and selected elevations. <br />Task 2 -Analysis and Report <br />Contractor will identify, categorize and prioritize existing drainage problems based on the data <br />from Task 1; perform a conceptual remedial drainage evaluation by analyzing a 10 year storm <br />event (to be determined after review of the existing storm drain system and discussion with City <br />staff}; prepare a preliminary report of remediation options and meet with City staff to review and <br />discuss; finalize recommendations for drainage improvements; and prepare a report which shows <br />the recommendation(s) and the estimated probable costs of construction. The report shall <br />provide a narrative to address the qualitative value and comparative value of the limited retrofit <br />approach. <br />Task 3 -Documentation and Coordination Meetings <br />Contractor will prepare documentation as discussed in Tasks 1 and 2 above in a stand-alone <br />memos/reports. Contractor will also respond to up to two rounds of comments on the report. <br />Contractor will also attend up to three meetings with the City to discuss the subject project and <br />submitted documents. <br />Additional Services: <br />Other items of work not described above may be added to the scope of work with an approved <br />work authorization and budget from the City. Examples of additional services include: <br />• Additional areas for analysis <br />• Additional designs and estimates <br />• Additional submittals/meetings <br />III.
