EXHIBIT A SCOPE OF SER~IICES The Bonaire Fark Playground Improvement project consists of completing professional services for the following: • Upgrade the existing playground area including replacement play structures to accommodate children aged 5-12 and meet current CSPC standards. • Construct accessible pathways to play area and picnic areas. • Install accessible picnic tables and barbecues. Replace concrete pads beneath picnic tables. • Expand the parking lot by approximately 9,000 sf. • Enhance the park entrance. • Install shade trees around parking lot, at islands and at the picnic areas. • Provide irrigation for new shade trees. • Attend two neighborhood meetings to address local residents concerns. Public Outreach and Preliminary Plan: 1.0 PUBLIC OUTREACH 1.01 Project Initiation Meeting/Site Reconnaissance: Meet with City Staff to review scope of the improvements and discuss any desired modifications or additions. Walk site to review the existing conditions and proposed locations for new and modified park elements. 1.02 Neighborhood Public Meeting: An initial neighborhood workshop will be facilitated by the consultant and Director. The purpose of the meeting will be to identify neighborhood concerns and preferences regarding the play equipment selections and overall park design. The consultant will facilitate the meeting and record all comments. The consultant will also transcribe all meeting comments and distribute to the City. 2.0 PRELIlVIINARY DESIGN 2.01 Preliminary Design: Prepare schematic/preliminary design, render plan in color. Provide information on park equipment. 2.02 Cost Estimate: Prepare estimate of probable construction costs. 2.03 City Staff Review: Meet with City Staffto review the schematic/preliminary design and discuss direction for desired modifications. 2.04 Revisions: Revise drawings as necessary.
