EXHIBIT A SCOPE OF SERVICES Introduction: This contract is to prepare construction documents, specifications, and cost estimate and provide bid and construction support for the design of approximately 0.97 miles of street improvements and median landscaping on Lewelling Boulevard from Wicks Boulevard to Washington Avenue. Design shall generally encompass new center medians with landscaping, special paving in selected areas and miscellaneous street furnishings. Improvements also include a solar powered pedestrian button and lighted, flashing crosswalk at the intersection of Lewelling and at Andover. The existing curbs, gutters and sidewalks will remain where they are currently located and that there will be no modifications to the existing utilities including the existing storm drainage system. The base design shall represent Option #2 and use additive alternates to represent Option #1, Summary ofProject Costs dated June 11, 2003. Phase 2 -Construction Documents, Specifications & Estimate (PS & E'sl 2.01 Topographic Survey: To be provided by the City of San Leandro. 2.02 Meetings: Attend a total of three (3) meetings to coordinate work in progress with the Engineering Department, discuss City's comments on progress submittals and to review project budget and schedule. 2.03 Cover Sheet: Prepare cover sheet in City's standard format including vicinity map, sheet index, general notes, etc. 2.04 Demolition Plans: Prepare plans at 1"=30'-0" scale including legend and notes for roadway removal. These plans will be combined with the "Layout" plans indicated below and will be prepared by a licensed Civil Engineer. 2.05 Layout Plans: Prepare plans at 1"=30 scale for layout of new paving, curbs and gutters and striping. A licensed Civil Engineer will prepare these plans. 2.06 Irrigation Plans: Prepare plan at 1"=30'-0" scale including legend, details and notes for automatic irrigation system for all new and renovated landscape areas. 2.07 Planting Plans: Prepare plan at 1"=30' scale including legend, details and notes for all new and renovated landscape areas. 2.08 Electrical Plans: Prepare electrical plans for irrigation controller power and related meters and panels, and solar powered or electric powered pedestrian push button and flashing, lighted crosswalk at the intersection of Andover.
