.~ 4 <br />FLOOD CONTROL AGENDA February 10, 2004 <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />PUBLIC WORKS AGENCY <br />DEVELOPMENT SERVICES DEPARTMENT <br />951 Turner Court, Room 100 <br />Hayward, CA 94545-2698 <br />(510)670-6601 <br />FAX (510) 670-5269 <br />January 7, 2004 <br />The Honorable Board of Supervisors <br />County Administration Building <br />1221 Oak Street <br />Oakland, CA 94612 <br />Dear Board Members: <br />SUBJECT: MODIFICATION NO. 1 TO AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE ALAMEDA <br />COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT <br />AND THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO TO INCLUDE STORM WATER <br />DETENTION POND 2 AND PROVIDE ADDITONAL FUNDING FOR <br />MAINTENANCE OF THE DETENTION PONDS <br />RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Approve and authorize the President of the Board to execute Modification No. 1 to Agreement <br />C-96-57 with the City of San Leandro, to include the Storm Water Detention Pond 2 facility, and <br />to increase the maximum amount to maintain the detention ponds from $10,000.00 per year to <br />$25,000 per year. <br />DISCUSSION/FINDINGS: <br />The storm drainage system for the Heron Bay residential development in the City of San Leandro <br />(CITY) was built, by contractors for the private developer, in five phases, in accordance with <br />improvement plans for Tracts 6636, 6648, 6665, 6809 and 6810. The storm drainage <br />improvement plans of the Tracts were reviewed by the Alameda County Flood Control and <br />Water Conservation District (DISTRICT) for conformance with the DISTRICT Hydrology and <br />Hydraulics Criteria Manual, and approved by the CITY. A Storm Water Lift Station and <br />Detention Pond (SWLSDP) was built in accordance with improvement plans for Tracts 6636 and <br />6648. On August 8, 1995, your board entered into an Agreement (C-96-S7) between the <br />DISTRICT and the CITY for maintenance, funding for maintenance and long term capital <br />equipment replacement, and other consideration of the SWLSDP. <br />TO SERVE AND PRESERVE OUR COMMUNTI'Y <br />
