EXHIBIT A SCOPE OF SERVICES PROJECT PURPOSE/DESCRIPTION The purpose of the project is to construct a new roadway connecting Davis Street to Williams Street and reconfigure the intersection of Westgate Parkway and Timothy Drive. This project will also reconfigure Westgate Shopping Center parking lot, north of the Wal-mart parking lot. City has retained Contractor to perform the design required for the Project plans, specifications and cost estimate and related services for the roadway reconstruction and street improvements along Timothy Drive, Westgate Parkway, and Williams Street ("Project"). DESCRIPTION OF CONTRACTOR SERVICES This contract allows for the project to be prepared in either one or two separate Plans, Specifications and Estimate (PS&E) packages. City shall make the determination of the number of PS&E packages required for the project prior to the preparation of the 100% PS&E submittal. Contractor shall perform the services described in Exhibit A for each of the PS&E packages upon City determining that two PS&E packages are required. Task 1: Project Management /Team Leadership Contractor shall provide Project management services for the Project. Contractor's project manager shall be responsible for managing the Contractor team, providing the resources to complete the job, monitoring the Project budget and schedule, conducting Project team meetings, implementing a quality assurance/quality control program and communicating with City and regulatory agencies. Task 1.1 -Progress Schedule and Budget Contractor shall prepare and monitor the project schedule and budget. Contractor shall prepare a project schedule and budget at the initiation of the project. The schedule and budget shall be monitored throughout the duration of the project. Contractor shall inform City as to changes in the schedule or budget as they arise. Task 1.2 -Monthly Meetings Contractor shall attend monthly progress meetings with the City. The Contractor shall discuss the Project progress, issues which may affect the Project schedule and the budget and any other agenda item that the City may request for discussion. Contractor shall prepare and distribute meeting minutes to meeting participants. There shall be a maximum often (10) progress meetings with City throughout the Project duration.
