Rocha, Executive Director <br />Phone: 510-581-9380 <br />Project Name: Fair Housing Services <br />PROJECT GOALS AND OBJECTIVES <br />Provide fair housing services to residents of San Leandro, including complaint intake, <br />complaint evaluation, investigation, counseling, mediation, and referral. Conduct audits <br />or test in relation to specific complaints or potential patterns of discrimination. <br />PERFORMANCE MEASURES <br />SUBRECIPIENT SHALL, FOR THE TERM OF THE CONTRACT: <br />Serve an estimated number of clients: <br />12 inquiries/complaints a year <br />24 audits per year. <br />2. Evaluate and investigate inquiries and complaints within 24 hours. <br />Initiate investigation of discrimination complaints within 24 hours from receipt of a <br />complaint. All investigations will be performed by trained persons following established <br />fair housing investigative methods. A discrimination check will include visits and/or <br />telephone calls to suspected violators to obtain information and verify data. Information <br />collected by the checkers will be reported in writing and the reports compared and <br />analyzed for discrepancies. The Subrecipient shall refer clients wishing to pursue legal <br />remedies to Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DEER), Department of <br />Housing and Urban Development (HUD), or private fair housing attorneys. <br />3. Conduct 24 housing audits for San Leandro. A steering committee comprised of <br />representatives from the Cities of Hayward, San Leandro, and Union City shall convene <br />18 <br />
