EXHIBIT A <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />General <br />The project consists of widening eastbound Marina Boulevard between Alvarado Street to San <br />Leandro Boulevard. Marina Boulevard will consist of two through lanes in each direction, atwo- <br />way median left turn lane, and new or reconfigured concrete medians in select locations. <br />Associated work will consist of traffic signal modifications at Alvarado St, redesign of street <br />lights, storm drainage, coordination with utility companies for relocation of facilities, assistance <br />to City with UPRR in the widening of the rail crossing, signing and striping, and details and <br />specifications for a complete project consistent with City of San Leandro standards and general <br />engineering practice. <br />General Assumptions: <br />• English units will be shown on the plans. <br />• No separate temporary lighting or temporary lighting designs will be required. <br />• No separate temporary storm drains or storm drain design will be required. <br />• No temporary signals will be required. <br />• No stage construction drawings will be prepared. <br />• Additional tasks, beyond those which have been identified in this proposal, required by <br />the City or other agencies, in the preparation of the engineering design, reports, and <br />PS&E, will be negotiated separately, as necessary in accordance with the fee schedule <br />shown in Exhibit B. <br />• Building and other structures will be demolished as part of a separate contract and are not <br />included. <br />• It is assumed that the City has obtained all the applicable environmental and hazardous <br />materials documentation for this project and that all appropriate permits and clearances <br />have been obtained. The Contractor will not be providing any services in support of <br />permits for environmental or hazardous materials documentation except as specifically <br />discussed in the above scope. <br />• Disposal of hazardous material located on the proposed project site will be by others. If <br />handling or disposal of hazardous material is included in the construction contracts for <br />this project, the City will furnish details and layout of the areas for disposal and the <br />specifications and other information to be used in the construction contract. <br />• Any tasks of environmental analysis normally done by other consultants and necessary to <br />prepare a preliminary Environmental Assessment form, or other environmental <br />documentation for any proposed modification to the project are not included in this scope. <br />• Services for Hazardous Materials Studies are not included in this scope. <br />• All filing fees and Plan checking fees shall be the responsibility of the City. <br />TASK 1 DATA COLLECTION <br />The Contractor will collect and/or prepare all the data required to complete the design phase of <br />the project. <br />Exhibit A Page 1 of 13 <br />STIP Marina Widening <br />
