EXHIBIT A SCOPE OF SERVICES DESCRIPTION: This contract is for preparation of a report that details 3 alternatives for renovation of Burrell Field. Each alternative shall include a description, layout plan, and cost estimate. SCOPE OF SERVICES /DELIVERABLES: 1.0 Analysis and Program 1.01 Start Up Meeting A meeting will be held with the Project Engineer to verify project schedule, and scope of services. The proposed public meeting process will be reviewed. Lines of communication and project responsibility will be established. Project base information will be obtained, including aerial photo with contours. We will also walk the project site to review the existing conditions. A preliminary list of issues to be addressed will be developed. The consultant will be responsible for taking all meeting minutes and distributing to all participants for every project meeting. Initiate formation of a steering committee composed of City of San Leandro and San Leandro School District staff. 1.02 City and School District Staff Interviews City and School District operations and maintenance staff, programming staff, and other appropriate staff will be interviewed to identify issues associated with the current use of the facility. The interviews will also include site walks as appropriate. 1.03 Site Reconnaissance An on-ground reconnaissance of the project site will be conducted to photograph and document all visually-apparent existing conditions. 1.04 Site Analysis 1.04a Site Assessment Using the City-supplied topographic aerial photograph, prepare a site analysis diagram that illustrates the existing conditions and issues to be addressed by the altemative plans, including: • Site context and surrounding land uses • Traffic and circulation patterns • Wind/sun • Parking • Lighting levels and coverage • Support facilities and site structures • Athletic field types, location, and condition Exhibit A Page 1 of 4 6/12/95 Burrell Field Reco~lfigurarion Study
