IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2002- 61 (1925/1980/2575) <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING FILING OF A CLAIM WITH THE METROPOLITAN <br />TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION (MTC) FOR ALLOCATION OF <br />TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT ACT (TDA) ARTICLE 3 FUNDS FOR FISCAL <br />YEAR 2002-2003 AND TO APPROPRIATE $62,806 OF DEVELOPMENT FEES FOR <br />STREET IMPROVEMENTS (DFSI) FUNDS <br />WHEREAS, the Transportation Development Act (TDA} provides for disbursement of <br />funds from the Local Transportation Fund of the County of Alameda for use by eligible <br />claimants for the purpose of pedestrian and/or bicycle projects; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Transportation Development Act and <br />pursuant to the applicable rules and regulations thereunder, a prospective claimant wishing to <br />receive an allocation from the Local Transportation Fund shall file its claim with the <br />Metropolitan Transportation Commission; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro is an eligible claimant for TDA funds pursuant <br />to PUC Section 99234; and <br />WHEREAS, TDA funds from the Local Transportation Fund of Alameda County will <br />be required by claimant for Fiscal Year 2002-2003 for bicycle and pedestrian improvements <br />throughout the City; and <br />WHEREAS, Development Fees for Street Improvements (DFSI} funds have been paid <br />by developers to be used for traffic improvements throughout the City, and the installation of <br />bicycle and pedestrian improvements throughout the City are consistent with previous uses of <br />DFSI funds. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br />follows: <br />
