San Leandro City Council <br />May 6, 2002 <br />Summary of Edits to the Draft General Plan <br />Proposed by the San Leandro School District on April <br />Additional Action Statements for Consideration (City Staff suggestions shown in strike-out and italics) <br />New 46.O1A Citywide Bond Measures <br />Ensure that the timing of any bond measure developed for City, School District, and <br />City/School joint use projects is coordinated between the impacted agencies. Prior to <br />any bond measure, collectively plan and survey the community to determine the level of <br />support and willingness to pay for the proposed improvements. <br />Amend 46.02A -New Facility Planning <br />Support efforts by both school districts to develop new facilities in response to increase in <br />enrollment. Provide the necessary assistance in project planning and permitting for <br />future projects. The City and School Districts will work together to identify possible <br />future school sites consistent with the zoning requirements as outlined in the General <br />Plan. <br />Amend 46.06A -Future Bond Measures <br />Investigate the feasibility of a citywide bond measure and/or other possible <br />financing measures to fund joint use (City/School District) projects. Ensure <br />that the specific improvements and timing associated with any bond measure <br />are coordinated between the impacted agencies. Prior to any bond measure, <br />collectively plan and survey the community to determine the level of support and <br />willingness to pay for the proposed improvements. <br />Page 26 * Summary of Edits <br />
