There are a
total of 73 homes slotted for
insulation in this portion of the
Program. We are currently
awaiting approval of this Phase
and are ready to begin another
successful project designed to
give the residents in San
Leandro a better quality of life.
For the 83 homes that have had
the acoustical materials in-
stalled, we are certain they are
enjoying the benefits. For the
homes awaiting construction, we
thank you for your patience and
want to assure you that we are
moving forward as quickly as
possible. We understand that
you are excited about the
program and may have been
waiting for those new windows
and doors for quite some time.
The next step in Phase II will be
the contractor verification of
measurements. You will be
receiving a call from the Project
Manager to schedule that
appointment. The general con-
tractor wi-I measure the exact
dimensions and confirm the
window color and door types
with each homeowner, A
licensed electrician will accom-
pany the contractor to verify that
the electrical conditions in your
attic will accommodate the new
insulation installation. You will
be advised of the existing
conditions, the Program require-
ments and your options.
The contractor will place his
order for materials once he has
gathered all the information
needed. Fabrication of the
components will take approxi-
mately eight to twelve weeks.
When all of the components for
your home have been delivered
to the warehouse, the Project
Manager will schedule the start
of construction at your home.
As Phase II gets underway, the
Project Architect and his team
will be surveying the final group
of homes which will complete
the San Leandro Program. If you
know someone who may be
interested in receiving all of the
benefits this Program offers, and
their home is in the project area,
please make sure they call the
Project Manager to discuss the
possibilities of participation. Re-
member this Program is now
open to rental houses in the
project area as well, so if you
are a tenant, please forward this
information to the property
owner(s) for their consideration.
If you have vacation plans, are
selling your home, or have
changed any of your telephone
numbers or contact information,
please notify Roberto Lujan toll
free at $88-807-6200.
