NEEDS AND OBJECTIVES OF DBW Pursuant to its authority under Harbors and Navigation Code section 525, the Department of Boating and Waterways (`'DBW") wishes to contract with Contractor for 'ne removal and disposal of abanaoned. wrecked or dismantled vessels. or parts `hereof, or any other partially suomeraed objects (hereinafter `eligible water hazaras") ,vnich pose a substantial hazara ±o navigation within C~rtractor s jurisdiction as listed on she Mazard Removal List Worksheet, ~ouna in Exhibit A.. _'. MATCHING FUND REQUIREPJIENT Harbors and Navigation Code section 525(c) requires Contractor to match the total amount expended under this Agreement with a ten percent (10°~l contnbution. Such match may be in-kind, including direct labor, materials and equipment associated with 'he removal, sale or disposal of any eligible water hazard under this Agreement. In-kind contributions do not include administrative services.
