The City of San Leandro will: • With DSFRC, Coordinate the Parties' efforts to secure funding for tenant improvements. Funding sources may include federal, state, county, city, and philanthropic entities, as agreed to by the Parties. • Coordinate the process to hire a consultant to prepare funding applications for tenant improvements. BRIDGE Housing Corporation, Davis Street Family Resource Center and Alameda County will assist City during the process, as needed. City may permit that the same consultant is retained by Davis Street Family Resource Center to coordinate and oversee all tenant improvement build- outs. Alameda County General Services Agency -Child Care Program will: • Support third party consultant and team to track funding opportunities and provide ongoing review, assistance, and consulting services with funding applications. • Assist City and DSFRC in preparing funding applications for tenant improvements as needed, 4C's of Alameda County will: • Upon request, assist in assessing the child care needs of the local community by providing data on existing child care programs and information about the requests for child care received by 4C's from families in the community. Estimated Timeline (all dates and years should be considered for estimate purposes onl August 2009 -BRIDGE will begin Childcare Center preliminary design and City will commence fundraising activities (estimated at $700,000) with assistance from Parties. December 2009 -Parties will confirm feasibility of Childcare Center based on assessment of available funds. Apri12010 -BRIDGE will start construction of residential facility including shell for childcare facility. January 2011 -DSFRC will begin program development, apply for conditional use permit, and design tenant improvements. June 2011 -DSFRC will close on all financing for tenant improvements and begin construction. January 2012 -BRIDGE will complete residential building; DSFRC will complete tenant improvements. DSFRC will install furniture and set-up facility. February 2012 -DSFRC will commence operations.
