ATTACHMENT A <br />Park and Facility Improvement Projects Public Workshop <br />GROUP REPORT OUTS <br />November 7, 2009 Park and Facility Improvement Projects Public Workshop at the MCC: <br />15 people attended the workshop (not including staff); 9 people participated in the group work. <br />Group 1 report out: <br />Projects in order of priority: <br />• Marina Park Picnic <br />• Marina Park Irrigation <br />• Marina Park Par Course <br />• Toyon Playground <br />• All parks Asphalt <br />• Cleveland Park Structure. <br />Reasoning: Marina has the highest utilization, new play structures draw families, Toyon has nothing; <br />safety is a priority; bathrooms are good enough if they work; dog park is important but not relative to <br />other projects. Cleveland playground was not a priority but fit the amount of money they had left to <br />equal $4 million. Group one discussion included safety and families as important. <br />Group 2 report out: <br />Projects (not necessarily in priority): <br />• Toyon Playground <br />• Marina Park Picnic <br />• Marina Park Irrigation <br />• Dog Park (option 2, $491) <br />• Stenzel Drainage <br />• Marina Par Course <br />• Boys/Girls Club enhancements <br />• Skate Board Park <br />• Repair Stenzel parking lots; south and dirt. <br />Reasoning: Toyon has nothing; Marina Projects because it is highly utilized; Dog Park because the City <br />doesn't have any; B/G Club health and plumbing issues; Skate Board is a safety issue; Stenzel because it <br />is highly utilized; two people wanted to SLFAC because it serves a very large residential area if San <br />Lorenzo steps up to the plate to match -someone said SLzUSD has $1.5 million to put into pool; it was <br />suggested to reach out to others to help with funds. SLED for the SL Ballpark and Pacific Road; Federal <br />grant for Siempre Verde and SLzUSD for SLFAC. Group two discussed safety and geographic locations as <br />important. <br />
