D. The project shall comply with the California Building and Fire Codes as adopted <br />by the City of San Leandro. <br />VII. BUILDING AND SAFETY DIVISION REQUIREMENTS <br />A. Prior to the start of activities approved by this conditional use permit, a building <br />permit shall be obtained from the City of San Leandro Building and Safety <br />Services Division that addresses the following comments which are based on <br />review of Exhibit B -Building Use Plan, submitted by the applicant and which <br />ffidlcate type Of OCCUpanCy aS ccB~~,~~ S l" and "I-4~~: <br />1. Floor level exit signs are required for "I" type occupancy. <br />2. Verification that building has an automatic sprinkler as specified in CBC <br />Section 903.2.5 as well as a Fire Alarm and Detection System, per 907.2.6 <br />3. Occupancy separation is required as per Table 508.3.3, between "I", "B" <br />and "S 1" types of occupancies. <br />4. It appears that two exits are required from the indicated "I" type of <br />occupancy; swing of these exit doors must be open in the direction of path <br />of exiting. <br />5. Floor Level Exit Sign required per CBC Section 1011.6. <br />6. Toilet fixtures count should be based on California Plumbing Code. <br />7. Structural calculations and a report are required to show adequacy of the <br />structural portion of the building occupied as "I" type of occupancy if <br />there is a change for the use of space from a less hazardous type of <br />occupancy to a more hazardous type of occupancy. The structural report <br />and calculation must include the following information: <br />Adequacy of the exterior walls for out of plane and in-plane lateral <br />seismic/wind force; <br />ii. Adequate positive exterior wall ties to roof diaphragm due to out <br />of plane lateral force; and <br />iii. Adequacy of roof diaphragm for shear capacity. <br />VIII. LANDSCAPE <br />A. Prior to the start of activities approved by this conditional use permit, a detailed <br />landscape plan shall be submitted for review and approval by the Community <br />Development Director and shall include such details as 1) tree size, species and <br />location; 2) shrubs and groundcovers; 3) installation specifications; 4) irrigation <br />details. The proposed landscape plan shall comply with the Bay Friendly <br />Landscaping Guidelines. <br />Conditions of Approval December 9, 2009 <br />PLN2009-00037 ~ ~ Page 5 of 7 <br />
