Eliminating Obstacles to Affordable Housing Construction The city has already done quite a bit to eliminate some of the key zoning and parking related barriers to multi-family and affordable housing construction in TOD areas through the recent zoning update resulting from the Downtown TOD Strategy. The Housing Element also includes many policies and actions that will reduce these barriers further. Many of our recommendations related to this have been addressed through your policies. Thus, we'd like to offer our support and appreciation for the following policy areas and actions that address our concerns and go further to reduce barriers: 59.01- A (page 7-6), 59.01- B (7-6), 59.01- C (7-6), 59.01- D (7-6), 59.01- E (7-6), 59.02-A (7-6), 59.04-B (7-7), 59.04-C (7-7).
