Alameda County Transportation Improvement Authority
Special Transportation for Seniors and People with Disabilities
Please note that 100% of the MSL grant
funds are used for transportation costs.
There are no administrative costs -
charged to this service.
Interim Service We currently provide Interim Service. $0
The majority of the Interim Service trips
is for medical purposes and is currently
funded with the MSL Out-of--Town
Medical Transportation grant. If we do
not receive the MSL grant for medical
transportation, we will not be able to
meet the Interim Service need for
medical trips.
We are not requesting additional grant
funds for this service, but are instead
noting that Interim Service is dependent
on the MSL Medical Transportation
rant.

Total $75,000
Additional Questions to determine minimum service levels gap grant funding:
1. Have you explored and documented other transportation options for seniors and.
people with disabilities provided by non-profit organizations in your community that
might also close this service gap? Please describe.
• Staff routinely assists residents with their transportation needs, providing
information about the variety of transportation services available. Transportation
options include: family, friends, taxi, AC Transit/Bart, East Bay Paratransit,
residential facilities that provide transportation and hospitals that offer shuttle
services. Local non-profit resources are very limited. Alzheimer's Services of the
East Bay offers transportation to clients, as well as, Stepping Stones an
organziation that works with the developmentally disabled. The variety of
services is limited and does not meet the medical transportation needs of our
riders. Many of our riders do not have the resource of family or friends for their
G:\Oliver\Paratransit\FY 2010-11\IvIB Annual Program Application Cover FYl O1 l.doc
Page 14 of 17
