Alameda County Transportation Improvement Authority <br />Special Transportation for Seniors and People with Disabilities <br />transportation needs and cannot afford the expense of a taxi. Although some <br />residential facilities provide shuttle transportation, the majority do not. By <br />providing demand response medical trips, we are meeting a critical life need <br />which was identified through public input. <br />3. If MSL gap funding was not available to meet this need, would other funding sources <br />be available to meet this need? <br />• We would continue to look for funding opportunities. In light of current City <br />budget constraints it is not possible for the City to subsidize the service. <br />a. If other funding was not available, how would you prioritize which minimum <br />service levels to cut? <br />o Demand response medical transportation and interim transportation for <br />medical purposes could not be provided. <br />4.
