DRAFT MINUTES <br /> Page 5 <br />April 19, 2010 <br />City of San Leandro City Council and San Leandro Redevelopment Agency Joint Meeting <br /> <br /> <br />Darlene Campbell, Volunteer at Davis Street Family Resource Center (DSFRC) <br />, <br />addressed the City Council, commenting on the increased number of people seeking <br />help from the DSFRC due to the economic downturn. <br /> <br />Liz Varela, Executive Director of Building Futures with Women and Children <br />(BFWC), <br /> addressed the City Council, urging the Council to restore full funding to the <br />CAP agencies next year. Ms. Varela commented on the cut in State funding to BFWC, <br />and that the San Leandro shelter faces closure without increased funding. <br /> <br />Bonnie Ann Saar, <br />, addressed the City Council, <br />expressing support for funding for the family support services provided by the DSFRC. <br /> <br />Marjorie Rocha, Executive Director of ECHO Housing <br />, addressed the City Council, <br />commenting on the reduction in funding to tenant/landlord, fair housing and <br />rental assistance services. Ms. Rocha stated that the funding reduction comes at a <br />difficult time for the community. <br /> <br />There being no further comments from the public, and without objection, the Public <br />Hearing was closed. <br /> <br /> Resolution No. 2010-038 <br />, Resolution Approving the FY 2010-2014 U.S. <br />Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Five-Year Consolidated <br />Plan and FY 2010-2011 Annual Action Plan and Authorizing the Execution of All <br />Related Documents by the City Manager and Submission of the Plans to HUD <br />(updates the housing and community development needs in San Leandro and the <br />strategies for meeting those needs). <br /> <br />M/S/C Souza and Prola.
