IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />RESOLUTION N0.2010-071 <br />RESOLUTION AMENDING TITLE 12, CHAPTER 5 OF THE SAN LEANDRO <br />ADMIlVISTRATIVE CODE RELATING TO UNIFORM WASTEWATER DISCHARGE FEES <br />WHEREAS, the Water Pollution Control Enterprise Fund has rate setting objectives to <br />adequately fund sewer utility operations, maintenance, capital replacement expenditures and debt <br />service obligations, while keeping rates as competitive as possible and maintaining a prudent level <br />of reserves. <br />WHEREAS, the City concluded a Wastewater Rate Study to modify the wastewater fee <br />methodology, making it easier to understand for rate payers and to ensure equitable allocation <br />among customer classifications. <br />WHEREAS, the change to a simplified methodology eliminated the demand charge <br />currently billed to Industrial Users. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br />follows: <br />That Title 12, Chapter 5 of the San Leandro Administrative Code, entitled Uniform <br />Wastewater Discharge Regulations, a copy of which is attached, is hereby amended. <br />That the provisions of this Chapter shall take effect on July 1, 2010. <br />Introduced by Councilmember Prola and passed and adopted this 21st day of June, 2010, by <br />the following called vote: <br />Members of the Council: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Gregory, Prola, Reed, Souza, Starosciak, Stephens; <br />Mayor Santos (7) <br />NOES: None (0) <br />ABSENT: None (0) <br />ATTEST: ~M <br />Marian Handa, City Clerk <br />
