Bay Trail Slough Bridge -Project Acceptance 2 July 6, 2010 <br />Analysis <br />The project is complete. On May 7, 2010, the bridge was dedicated as the `Bill Lockyer Bay <br />Trail Bridge' and was opened for public use. <br />Current City Council Policy <br />Coordinate with EBRPD to pursue funding and completion of the Bay Trail project (Resolution <br />No. 2003-250). <br />Previous City Council Action(s) <br />• On November 3, 2003, by Resolution No. 2003-222, the City Council authorized the City <br />Manager to apply for an Alameda County Transportation Authority (ACTIA) Measure B <br />Bicycle and Pedestrian Countywide Discretionary Grant for the Bay Trail Slough Bridge in <br />the amount of $600,000 <br />• On February 4, 2004, by Resolution No. 2004-021, the City Council approved a grant <br />agreement with the Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG) to provide design <br />services for the subject project <br />• On June 7, 2004; by Resolution No. 2004-085, the City Council approved a grant agreement <br />in the amount of $250,000 with ACTIA to provide construction services for the subject <br />project <br />• On July 19, 2004, by Resolution No. 2004-119, the City Council approved a Contractual <br />Services Agreement with Mark Thomas & Company, Inc. to provide design services for the <br />subject project <br />• On March 19, 2007, by Resolution No. 2007-036, the City Council approved a Right of <br />Entry and Indemnity Agreement between the City of San Leandro and the Port of Oakland <br />related to the subject project <br />• On May 7, 2007, by Resolution No. 2007-064, the City Council authorized the City Manager <br />to file an application for a Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) Regional <br />Bicycle and Pedestrian Program grant for $750,000 to help fund the subject project <br />• On June 18, 2007, by Resolution No. 2007-083, the City Council adopted a Mitigated <br />Negative Declaration for the Bay Trail Slough Bridge as complete and in compliance with <br />the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) <br />• On July 2, 2007, by Resolution No. 2007-090, the City Council approved a grant agreement <br />in the amount of $750,000 with ACTIA to provide construction services for the subject <br />project <br />• On October 1, 2007, by Resolution No. 2007-132, the City Council authorized the City <br />Manager to file an application with the Recreational Trails Program for a grant of $395,000 <br />to help fund the subject project <br />• On April 7, 2008, by Resolution No. 2008-032, the City Council authorized the City <br />Manager to enter into a grant agreement with ABAG in the amount of $300,000 to help fund <br />the subject project <br />• On February 2, 2009, by Resolution No. 2009-011, the City Council authorized the City <br />Manager to enter into a grant supplemental agreement to the master agreement for federal <br />projects with the State of California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) <br />
