The total Strategy area encompasses approximately 125 acres and includes the San Leandro BART and AC Transit bus transfer <br />stations; vacant properties to the west of the BART tracks; historic buildings along West Estudillo Street (including Casa Peralta and <br />Best House); Saint Leander Church, rectory and school; and a traditional cottage neighborhood intermixed with apartment and <br />condominium projects. The project area is relatively flat, and can be described as an urban environment with regard to types of plant <br />and animal species that may be present.
