Exposure of people property to water related X 2 <br />hazards such as tidal waves? <br />EXPLANATION: The project area can be described as an urbanized environment, with a majority of the acreage already developed <br />with buildings and/or covered with paving of some sort. Adoption of the Revitalization Strategy in and of itself would not result in a <br />change to the existing hydrological and water quality conditions. However, the Revitalization Strategy includes site development <br />plans and illustrations of recommended in-fill development projects that maybe developed at some time in the future, and these <br />future projects have the potential to affect existing hydrology and water quality. The City Engineer has indicated that existing <br />drainage improvements have not been extensively studied in the project area, therefore it is unknown at this time whether the <br />existing facilities could handle future development. The following mitigation measure has been recommended in order to reduce to a <br />level of insignificance any potentially significant hydrology and water quality impacts related to future projects anticipated by the <br />Revitalization Strategy: <br />• Prior to issuance of grading permits for future developments, the applicant shall be required to submit asite-specific <br />hydrology/water quality report, to be reviewed and approved by the City Engineer. Any recommendations contained in <br />the report shall become conditions of approval and be included on the plans submitted for approval of grading and <br />building permits. <br />With the exception of San Leandro Creek itself, the Strategy Area is not within a 100-year flood hazard area. Therefore, no flooding <br />impacts are anticipated. In addition, the Strategy Area is not subject to inundation by seiche, tsunami, mudflow, or tidal waves. <br />'S.
