Street Furnishings <br />Street furnishings. Street furnish- <br />ings are the various elements found <br />along the streets that provide utility <br />and comfort. They include: <br />benches <br />drinking fountains <br />bicycle racks <br />trash/recycling bins <br />newspaper racks <br />planters <br />bus shelters <br />telephone booths <br />tree grates <br />lightposts <br />kiosks <br />A wide variety of street furnish- <br />ings are available from many manu- <br />facturers. Both standard and custom <br />designs are available. <br />Important factors for selecting <br />street furniture are comfort, dura- <br />bility and quality.
