EXHIBIT A <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br />The intent of this agreement is for the Contractor to provide civil engineering design services <br />associated with the rehabilitation of Callan Avenue between Huff Avenue and Harrison Street, <br />and Doolittle Drive between Davis Street and Williams Street, San Leandro, California. Work <br />will consist of but not limited construction plan preparation, which will include construction <br />plans, roadway cross sections, construction details and quantity estimates. The specifics of these <br />services are as follows: <br />70% PLANS AND ESTIMATES <br />• GEOTECHNICAL RECOMMENDATIONS: Consultant shall meet with City to <br />discuss and establish areas of overlay, grind and plug, and replacement based on geotechnical <br />studies to be provided by City hired Geotechnical Engineer. <br />• UTILITY MAPPING: Consultant shall obtain utility maps from City and Utility <br />companies and map utilities between the curbs on all two streets, within limit of proposed <br />rehabilitation. <br />• 70% PLANS: Consultant shall prepare 70% plans showing detailed stationing of repair <br />areas, valley gutters, quantity tables, typical sections, cover sheet, construction details, survey <br />control and crown elevations. <br />• EARTHWORK QUANTITIES: Consultant shall calculate excavation for pavement <br />replacement sections. Consultant shall calculate earthwork quantities using survey cross <br />sections and new crown grades. <br />• CONSTRUCTION COST ESTIMATE: Consultant shall prepare a preliminary <br />construction cost estimate for the improvements. <br />95% PLANS AND ESTIMATES <br />• MEETING: Consultant shall meet with City to discuss and collect City's review comments <br />on the 70% plans and estimates design completion. <br />95% PLANS: Consultant shall prepare 95% plans incorporating City's comments on the <br />70% document review. The plans will show detailed stationing of repair areas, valley gutters, <br />quantity tables, typical sections, cover sheet, construction details, survey control and crown <br />elevations. <br />• EARTHWORK QUANTITIES: Consultant shall calculate excavation for pavement <br />replacement sections based on 95% plans completion.
