C. Specialty Services <br />CONTRACTOR shall coordinate the activities of the specialty subconsultants listed below: <br />A) Geotechnical Engineering Services. DCM/Joyal Engineering, the design phase <br />geotechnical engineer, will perform geotechnical engineering services during construction to <br />review submittals, to respond to RFI's and to make periodic site visits. <br />B) Materials Testing. CONTRACTOR shall coordinate with the materials testing <br />subconsultant to provide soil compaction, concrete strength, asphalt, and other materials testing <br />to monitor the work's contract compliance. All materials testing reports will be provided to the <br />City. Complete logs of all compaction testing results will be maintained to ensure that all failing <br />tests are covered by a passing retest, as well as documentation for future reference. <br />C) Verification Surveying. CONTRACTOR will retain a surveying subconsultant to <br />identify design survey control and to periodically verify elevations on the sewer and at manholes <br />to help monitor for contract compliance. Survey control, layout and grade setting is the <br />contractor's responsibility. <br />D) Microtunneling Engineering Services. CONTRACTOR will retain a microtunneling <br />subconsultant to perform microtunneling engineering services during construction to review <br />submittals, to respond to RFI, prepare DC, and to make occasional site visits. <br />II. SCHEDULE <br />The schedule for completion of the foregoing services is based upon the 7-month construction <br />period established by the City. <br />III. CITY PROVIDED SERVICES <br />The City shall provide the following services: <br />1) Legal Services. The City shall provide legal services related to contract review, bidding <br />irregularities, protests, claims and related items. <br />2) Project Administration. The City shall maintain responsibility and authority to approve any <br />changes to the specifications, plans, or other contractual obligations of the City. <br />3) Financial Administration. The City shall provide books of account for the receipts and <br />disbursements associated with the project necessary for fiscal control. The Resident Engineer <br />will coordinate progress payment and change order costs with the City to facilitate proper <br />financial administration. <br />4) Permits.
