EXHIBIT A <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />City of San Leandro <br />Phase V of the City's Advanced Traffic Signal System <br />PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br />This project represents Phase V of the City's Advanced Traffic Signal System and would <br />install fiber optic cable and new conduit on Washington Avenue between Halcyon Drive and <br />near the I-238/880 interchange. In addition, the project would install fiber optic cable and <br />conduit on Floresta Boulevard, between Fremont Avenue and Washington Avenue. The fiber <br />cable will be spliced into three traffic signal controller cabinets along this route in order to <br />interconnect these signals, and additional splices will be made for the CCTV connection at the <br />freeway ramps, and for splicing into the fiber optic trunk already in place along Halcyon <br />Drive. <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />Task 1: Prepare Base Map ($4,500) <br />Based on the City's existing GIS maps, DKS engineering staff will prepare a base map and <br />submit it to the City for review and approval. DKS engineering staff will walk the entire <br />length of the fiber run on Washington Avenue and Floresta Boulevard to verify the locations <br />of the existing pull boxes, controller cabinets, conduit, and visible utilities. DKS engineering <br />staff will evaluate the required elements to connect the controller cabinets, including new <br />conduits, pull boxes, splice enclosures, etc. In addition, DKS engineering staff will examine <br />each controller cabinet that will be interconnected to verify that the "home run" conduits have <br />Exhibit A Page 1 of 4 <br />DKS Associates <br />
