respect to the CDBG program during its tenure or for one year thereafter, shall have any interest, <br />direct or indirect, in any contract or subcontract, or the proceeds thereof, for work to be performed <br />in connection with this Agreement. <br />C. Recipient hereby certifies that no one who has any financial interest in or receives <br />compensation for services by Recipient's corporation or agency is related by blood or marriage <br />within the third degree to the Mayor or any one or more of the members of the City Council, City <br />Manager, or the department head to which these services are to be provided. <br />D. Recipient shall incorporate, or cause to be incorporated, in all subcontracts for work <br />to be performed under this Agreement a provision prohibiting such interest pursuant to the purposes <br />of this section. <br />5. POLITICAL ACTIVITY PROHIBITED. None of the funds, materials, property or services <br />contributed by the City or Recipient under this Agreement shall be used for any partisan political <br />activity, or to further the election or defeat of any candidate for public office. <br />6. LOBBYING. To the best of Recipient's knowledge and belief: <br />a. No Federal appropriated funds have been paid or will be paid, by or on behalf of it, <br />to any person for influencing or attempting to influence an officer or employee of <br />any agency, a Member of Congress, an officer or employee of Congress, or an <br />employee of a Member of Congress in connection with the awarding of any Federal <br />grant, the making of any Federal loan, the entering into of any cooperative <br />agreement, and the extension, continuation, renewal, amendment, or modification of <br />any Federal contract, grant, loan or cooperative agreement; <br />b. If any funds other than Federal appropriated funds have been paid or will be paid to <br />any person for influencing or attempting to influence an officer or employee of any <br />agency, a Member of Congress, an officer or employee of Congress, or an employee <br />of a Member of Congress in connection with this Federal contract, grant, loan, or <br />cooperative agreement, Recipient will complete and submit Standard Form -LLL, <br />"Disclosure Form to Report Lobbying", in accordance with its instructions; and <br />c. Recipient will require that the language of paragraph (b) of this certification be <br />included in the award documents for all subawards at all tiers (including <br />subcontracts, subgrants, and contracts under grants, loans, and cooperative <br />agreements) and that all recipients shall certify and disclose accordingly; <br />7. RELIGIOUS ACTIVITY PROHIBITED. There shall be no religious worship, instruction <br />proselytization as part of, or in connection with the performance of this Agreement.
