Annual Sidewalk Program 2009-10 <br />Acceptance of work 2 July 19, 2010 <br />The work has been inspected and deemed to comply with the contract documents and City <br />Standards. <br />The bid prices were less than the estimated prices, which allowed the City to perform additional <br />repairs. Change orders were issued to add these repair locations to the contract and for some <br />minor concrete work for various CIP projects. <br />Previous City Council Action(s) <br />• On July 20, 2009, by Resolution No. 2009-112, the -City Council approved plans and <br />specifications and authorized the call for bids <br />• On September 8, 2009, by Resolution No. 2009-124, the City Council awarded the contract <br />to Spencon Construction for the_subject project <br />Environmental Review <br />This project is categorically exempt. <br />Fiscal Impact <br />The total cost of the project, including administration of the sidewalk program for fiscal year <br />2009-2010 and inspection of this construction contract, was $382,400. The cost of the <br />construction contract was as follows: <br />Original Contract $227,250.00 <br />Contract Change Orders $ 50,485.05 <br />Total Contract Amount $277,734.67 <br />Budget Authority <br />• $350,000 was used from Measure B fund allocations in the 2009-10 budget as follows: <br />o $156,000 Measure B bike and pedestrian funds from account 144-36-006 <br />o $149,000 Measure B streets and roads funds from account 144-38-006 <br />o $45,000 Measure B streets and roads funds for drainage repair from account 144-38- <br />285 <br />• $15,100 was used from 2008-09 CIP budget allocations as follows: <br />o $7,500 for drainage repair from account 210-38-275 <br />o $1,900 for drainage repair from account 144-38-275 <br />o $5,700 for repair of sidewalk at City property from account 210-38-126 <br />• $17,300 was used from various CIP accounts as follows: <br />o $11,000 for drainage repair from account 210-18-132 <br />o $4,800 for repair of sidewalk from account 144-36-287 <br />o $1,500 for repair of sidewalk from account 962-86-070 <br />
