EXHIBIT A <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />1. UNDERSTANDING. The City plans to construct a new fire station at 2194 Williams St. <br />San Leandro, CA. The building is to include wood roof framing, CMU walls, concrete slab on <br />grade sub-floor, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems. Site work includes earth moving, <br />new driveways, parking areas, landscaping, sidewalk, signage, fuel storage, emergency generator, <br />and site drainage. Plans and specifications for the projects have been prepared by CJW <br />Architecture ("Architect"). <br />The City plans to enter into a separate contract with a contractor experienced in construction <br />("General Contractor") who will furnish all labor, materials, and equipment required to build the <br />project. The City plans to enter into a separate contract with a company experienced in <br />construction inspection ("Special Inspector") who will furnish all labor, materials, and equipment <br />required to fulfill the special inspection requirements as shown on the plans and specifications. <br />The City has entered into another separate contract with an individual ("Project Inspector") who <br />will furnish all labor, materials, and equipment required to fulfill the project inspector <br />requirements as shown on the plans and specifications <br />This contract is for construction review and construction administration support by the. Architect <br />as detailed below. <br />2. SCOPE OF WORK. <br />Provide services listed below for the duration of the project. Time of construction is 255 <br />working days, normal hours of construction are lam to 6pm. <br />a. Observation by Architect and Registered En ig Weer <br />Contractor shall perform the construction observation duties pursuant to the provisions of <br />Title 24 of the California Code of Regulations and Health and Safety Code Section 16021. <br />Contractor shall provide all actions, inspections, and reports by the Civil Engineer, <br />Structural Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Landscape Architect and <br />CJW Architecture which are required in Contract Document Section 01410, latest edition <br />of project specifications. <br />b. Construction Phase Services <br />i. Field Observation -Provide field observation services as required to fulfill the <br />requirements of (a) above. <br />ii.
