6. All details of construction, including, but not limited to, on-site pavement slopes, illumination,
drainage, etc., aze subject to the approval of the City Engineer.
7. The City's Transportation Administrator shall approve ingress to and egress from the project
and all traffic circulation patterns, traffic signs, driveway widths, sections and parking layout
within the project boundary.
All storm water runoff from the project shall be collected in an underground system and
conveyed to an appropriate storm drain system. Hydrologic and hydraulic calculations shall be
reviewed and approved by the City Engineer and the Alameda County Public Works Agency.
Written approval from the Alameda County Public Works Agency shall be submitted to the
City Engineer prior to the issuance of building permits.
9. The project shall be graded to allow for the overland release of runoff into the Alameda County
Flood Control Facilities during a higher than design storm event and/or in the event of total
failure of the on-site storm drainage system.
10. Prior to performing any grading work on site, the Applicant shall submit all information
including a grading Plan accompanied by Soils Engineering and Engineering Geology Reports,
in accordance with requirements of the City of San Leandro Municipal Code Title VII, Chapter
12 and obtain a grading permit.
11. To control both during and post construction storm water pollution, the Applicant shall comply
with the regulations and provisions contained in the City's Grading Ordinance, the City's Storm
Water Pollution Prevention Permit, and the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System
(NPDES), to the satisfaction of the City Engineer and the Regional Water Quality Control
Board.
12. The Clean Water program requires that, to filter and remove pollutants, impervious surfaces do
not connect directly to the storm drain system. To comply with this requirement, it is
recommended that the engineer explore methods of filtering the parking lot runoff through
oil/water separator or other structural control(s).
13. The project Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs) shall include storm water
pollution prevention and control measures for the operation and maintenance of the project
during and after construction for the review and approval by the City Engineer. The SWPPPs
shall identify Best Management Practices (BMPs) appropriate to the uses conducted on-site in
order to limit to the maximum extent practicable the entry of pollutants into storm water runoff.
14. The plans shall also include erosion control measures to prevent soil, dirt and debris from
entering the storm drain system, in accordance with the practices outlined in the ABAG
Erosion and Sediment Control Handbook, California Storm Water Best Management Practices
Handbook, and the Regional Water Quality Control Board's Erosion and Sediment Control
Field Manual.
