Ordinance No. 96 -04, An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of <br /> San Leandro Approving an Amendment to the Second Amendment to the <br /> Redevelopment Plan for the County of Alameda - City of San Leandro <br /> ( "Joint ") Redevelopment Project, Extending the Power of Eminent Domain <br /> Within the City Portion of the Redevelopment Project Area (extends the <br /> power of eminent domain to 2398 East 14th Street (the Islander Motel); <br /> 14500 East 14th Street (the Maskell property); the Peralta Node, as <br /> described in Exhibit A, Eminent Domain Property List, excluding 800 <br /> Peralta Avenue; and 2251 and 2255 Bancroft Avenue). (1120) <br /> Introduced by Council Member Galvan, who moved its adoption, seconded <br /> by Council Member Polvorosa, with Council Member Kerr voting no (1), <br /> and carried by a majority vote (6). <br /> C. City Council Reports on Intergovernmental Agencies. <br /> Council Member Galvan spoke regarding the East Bay Dischargers <br /> Authority. He said the sticking point is with the agencies in the <br /> valley over the 1.5 mgd that Dublin -San Ramon is asking be added onto <br /> the project to serve the Dougherty Valley. <br /> Council Member Perry said ABAG is looking at ways to pool cities <br /> together and have more direct services. <br /> Council Member Perry said Waste Management is working on land fill <br /> permits. <br /> Council Member Perry said she will be attending her last Statewide <br /> League of California Cities meeting. <br /> Council Member Perry said ACAP is undergoing strategic planning. <br /> Mayor Corbett asked if we should start being concerned about filling <br /> the League of California cities position. Council Member Perry <br /> explained her appointment is by the President of the League and there <br /> are very few slots Statewide. <br />
