Paul Zolfarelli, President, San Leandro City Employees Association, congratulated the newly elected Council Members on behalf of the Association. He also thanked the outgoing Council for their work on behalf of the City. He said the Association is proud to be part of the process. C. Lou Filipovich, 15376 Laverne Drive, concurred with Mr. Walker. He said he wants to ensure the process continues to be honest. He said it was a non - partisan election, not a primary election. Everyone is going to be accountable. Police, Fire, and City employees endorsed candidates; the League of Women Voters did not. This will be the last non - partisan election; the next election will be handled as a primary. 5. REPORT ON CLOSED SESSION ACTIONS TAKEN No Report 6. RESOLUTION NO. 96 -63, RESOLUTION DECLARING RESULTS OF GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD TUESDAY, MARCH 26, 1996. (1055) Introduced by Council Member Myers, who moved its adoption, seconded by Council Member Perry, with Council Member Loeffler absent (1), and carried by a majority vote (6). 7. CITY COUNCIL SWEARING -IN CEREMONIES Swearing -In /Oath of Office: Presiding: Honorable Peggy Hora, Judge San Leandro- Hayward Municipal Court o Shelia Young - Council Member - Elect, District 2 o Robert H. Glaze - Council Member - Elect, District 4 o Joanne M. Lothrop - Council Member - Elect, District 6 Each newly elected official was presented a "Certificate of Election" following the Swearing -In Ceremony. Judge Peggy Hora administered the Oath of Office to Council Members -elect Shelia Young, Bob Glaze, and Joanne Lothrop. Mayor Corbett welcomed each of the new Council Members and presented them with City pins and coffee mugs. Each of the new Council Members was presented with a Certificate of Election.
