Resolution Approving Contractual Services Agreement with Gates and Associates Relating to Design Services for City -Wide Entryway Signs, Project No. 210 -8301 (provides for conceptual design and preparation of contract documents for construction of City entryway signs). Council Member Glaze asked if Redevelopment Agency funds could be utilized for construction of some of the entry monuments, rather than General Fund money. The following Resolution was then introduced: Resolution No. 96 -81, Resolution Approving Contractual Services Agreement with Gates and Associates Relating to Design Services for City -Wide Entryway Signs, Project No. 210 -8301 (provides for conceptual design and preparation of contract documents for construction of City entryway signs). (2323) Introduced by Council Member Glaze, who moved its adoption, seconded by Council Member Polvorosa, with Council Member Loeffler absent (1), and carried by a majority vote (6). 6.E. Resolution Granting Extension of Time of Commencement and Time of Completion, Pursuant to That Subdivision Improvement Agreement for Parcel Map 5845 (grants two -year extension for commencement and completion of two, single- family, residential units at the easterly end of Montrose Drive, Parcel Map 5845; Developer: Loong -Fah [Gordon] Lu and Li Chuan Chen). Vice Mayor Polvorosa said a 5 -year extension was too long and he did not like to bind future Councils with this. He asked if the Resolution could be amended to provide a 2 -year extension; the City Attorney said it could. Mayor Corbett indicated she would vote no, consistent with her previous vote on this matter. The remainder of the City Council concurred with the 2 -year extension.
