Matter of Nomination of Member to Recreation and Parks Commission <br /> (District 1) - Ed Shapiro. <br /> Council Member Galvan said Mr. Shapiro has been active in the community <br /> and with youth, including involvement in Dads' Club, scouting, soccer, <br /> Little League, and basketball. He said he is pleased to have such a <br /> quality person take an interest in the Recreation and Parks Commission. <br /> The following Motion was then introduced: <br /> Minute Order No. 96 -16, Matter of Nomination of Member to Recreation <br /> and Parks Commission (District 1) - Ed Shapiro. (1020) <br /> On motion by Council Member Galvan, who moved its approval, seconded by <br /> Council Member Glaze, with Council Member Loeffler absent (1), and <br /> carried by a majority vote (6), the City Council approved the <br /> nomination of Ed Shapiro to the Recreation and Parks Commission, <br /> District 1. <br /> B. Resolution No. 96 -83, Resolution Preliminarily Accepting the Engineer's <br /> Report and Setting Hearing Dates for the Heron Bay Maintenance <br /> Assessment District (Formerly Roberts Landing), Assessment District No. <br /> 96.3 (provides for preliminary acceptance of the Engineer's Report and <br /> sets two Public Hearings for establishing the Heron Bay Maintenance <br /> Assessment District). <br /> (2811) <br /> Introduced by Council Member Glaze, who moved its adoption, seconded by <br /> Council Member Polvorosa, with Council Member Loeffler absent (1), and <br /> carried by a majority vote (6). <br /> C. Ordinance No. 96 -06, An Interim Ordinance Prohibiting the Processing <br /> and Approval of Use Permits, Variances, Building Permits, or Other <br /> Zoning Entitlements for Adult Entertainment Establishments Which May <br /> Conflict with Proposed Zoning Ordinances and Zoning Map Amendments, and <br /> Declaring This Ordinance to Be an Urgency Measure Necessary for the <br /> Preservation of the Public Peace, Health, and Safety (prohibits the <br /> processing of various zoning entitlements for adult establishments). <br /> (1024) <br /> Introduced by Council Member Polvorosa, who moved that it be passed to <br /> print and adopted, seconded by Council Member Glaze, with Council <br /> Member Loeffler absent (1), and carried by a majority vote (6). <br />
