Ira Renner, 2451 West 134th Avenue, said, when the Mulford Gardens area <br /> was annexed to the City, the Mayor and City Council assured people the <br /> zoning would remain RO. He said once people get their foot in the door <br /> they keep coming back for a little more. He said the issue is quality <br /> of life in the area; Mulford Gardens' residents take pride in their <br /> homes, community, and the City as a whole. He said there is more to <br /> consider than the tax benefit to the City. <br /> 6. CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> Consent Calendar items are typically routine in nature and are considered <br /> for approval by the City Council with one single action. The City Council <br /> may remove items from the Consent Calendar for purposes of discussion. <br /> Items listed on the Consent Calendar are deemed to have been read by title. <br /> Items 6.F, 6.H, and 6.M were removed from the Consent Calendar to New <br /> Business. The remaining items on the Consent Calendar were approved as <br /> follows: <br /> Introduced by Council Member Galvan, who moved adoption of the Consent <br /> Calendar, with all items deemed to have been read by title, seconded by <br /> Council Member Polvorosa, and carried by a majority vote (7). <br /> A. Resolution No. 96 -97, Resolution Approving Contractual Services <br /> Agreement with C +D /Sear Brown Group for the Water Pollution Control <br /> Plant Seismic Retrofit Project, Phase II & III, Project No. 593 -8541 <br /> (provides for preparation of contract documents for the seismic <br /> retrofit of the Water Pollution Control Plant and pump stations). <br /> (2323) <br /> B. Resolution No. 96 -98, Resolution Approving Contractual Services <br /> Agreement with DKS Associates Relating to Design and Implementation of <br /> an Advanced Traffic Signal System (provides for the design and <br /> installation of a computerized signal system for coordinating 36 <br /> signals in San Leandro and includes fiberoptic cable to link City <br /> facilities for a wide -area computer network). Resolution No. 96 -99, Resolution Approving Community Development Block <br /> Grant (CDBG) Small Business Loan and Regulatory Agreement - Chiron E. <br /> Alston, Isernia (provides for financial assistance to small business, <br /> a restaurant on MacArthur Boulevard adjacent to Sabino's, as outlined <br /> in the City's "CDBG Economic Development - Small Business Loan <br /> Guidelines "). Resolution No. 96 -100, Resolution Approving Community Development Block <br /> Grant (CDBG) Small Business Loan and Regulatory Agreement - Francisco <br /> Montes, Francisco's (provides for financial assistance to small <br /> business, a restaurant at the corner of Dutton and Bancroft Avenues at <br /> the old Rexall Building, as outlined in the City's "CDBG Economic <br /> Development - Small Business Loan Guidelines ").
