CALL TO ORDER <br /> 1.1 Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag <br /> 1.2 Roll Call <br /> PRESENT: Members Galvan, Glaze, Loeffler, Lothrop, Polvorosa, <br /> Young; Mayor Corbett <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> 2. PRESENTATIONS <br /> 2.1 Resolution of Commendation Recognizing the Contributions of <br /> Shirley Simpson, Library- Historical Commission, District 4. <br /> Mayor Corbett offered her personal appreciation to Shirley <br /> Simpson for all of her contributions. Council Member Glaze <br /> said Shirley exemplifies the highest quality of citizen and <br /> appointed commissioner. He noted that they ran against each <br /> other and maintained a close working relationship for the <br /> benefit of the community. He said she is a °class act "; and <br /> she put 110% into the Library, the children, and the community. <br /> He is grateful for her contributions. <br /> 2.2 Resolution of Commendation Recognizing the Contributions of <br /> Morgan Rice, Library - Historical Commission, District 2. <br /> Mayor Corbett noted that Morgan Rice is very involved in the <br /> community, has been a Commission member for three years, and is <br /> involved in the Friends of the Library. He has been actively <br /> recruiting new members to the Historical Society. On behalf of <br /> the Council, she thanked him for his many contributions. Mr. <br /> Rice thanked the City and the staff. <br /> 2.3 Resolution of Commendation Recognizing the Contributions of <br /> Marjorie Elwood, Human Resources Commission, District 2. <br /> It was noted Marjorie Elwood was not present and that her <br /> Commendation would be forwarded to her. <br />
