Minutes - City of San Leandro City Council and Page - 4 - <br /> Redevelopment Agency Meeting - December 2, 1996 <br /> 6.2 Matter of Acceptance of Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) <br /> For Fiscal Year Ending June 30, 1996 (accepts the auditors' annual <br /> report). <br /> Interim Assistant City Manager John Jermanis said staff is pleased to <br /> provide the document before the Council this evening. He noted that <br /> a new, independent, auditing firm was used to conduct the audit. <br /> Assistant Finance Director Joe Arch was introduced as the staff <br /> member responsible for the work and completion of the document. He <br /> said the document will be submitted for award presentation, as has <br /> been done in previous years. He introduced Gary Caporicci, <br /> representing Caporicci and Larsen Certified Public Accountants. Mr. <br /> Caporicci said San Leandro had received an unqualified report, and <br /> staff had been extremely helpful in completing the audit. <br /> Council Member Loeffler requested clarification as to why Media Copy <br /> had not been included in the report, as well as governmental <br /> agencies. Mr. Caporicci noted that Media Copy was not included due <br /> to timing, and it is not practice to include public agencies. <br /> Mayor Corbett thanked the Finance Department staff for their work, <br /> especially in light of the Finance Director serving in an interim <br /> capacity. <br /> The following Motion was then introduced: <br /> Minute Order No. 96 -58, Matter of Acceptance of Comprehensive Annual <br /> Financial Report (CAFR) For Fiscal Year Ending June 30, 1996 (accepts <br /> the auditors' annual report). (1033) <br /> The City Council accepted the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report <br /> (CAFR) for Fiscal Year ending June 30, 1996. <br /> M /S /C Polvorosa and Loeffler. Ayes: 7; Noes: 0 <br /> 6.3 Ordinance No. 96 -016, An Ordinance Amending Sections 2 -2 -220 and 2 -2- <br /> 500 of the San Leandro Municipal Code Providing for a Business <br /> License Fee for Firearms Dealers Based Upon Gross Receipts. <br /> - Adopted (2603/1413) <br /> M /S /C Polvorosa and Loeffler. Ayes: 4; Noes: Glaze and Galvan; <br /> Abstained: Young <br /> 6.4 Report on Closed Session Actions Taken. <br /> None <br />
