force, a true copy of the Uniform Plumbing Code shall be kept for <br /> public inspection in the office of the San Leandro City Clerk. A <br /> reasonable supply of the Uniform Plumbing Code shall be available <br /> in the office of the San Leandro City Clerk for public purchase. <br /> Section 7 -5 -905: DELETIONS: ENFORCEMENT- ABATEMENT PROCEDURES <br /> Sections 102.2.1, 102.2.2 and 102.2.3 and Table 1 -1 of the <br /> Uniform Plumbing Code are hereby deleted. Enforcement and <br /> abatement procedures set forth in Articles 11, 12, and 13 of this <br /> Chapter shall apply to this Article. <br /> Section 7 -5 -910: DELETIONS. All references to <br /> acrylonitrile- butadiene - styrene (ABS) and poly vinyl chloride <br /> (PVC) piping, fittings and valves for use within structures for <br /> drain, waste and vent (DWV) are hereby deleted from the Uniform <br /> Plumbing Code. The use of ABS and PVC in DWV systems is <br /> expressly disallowed in the City of San Leandro for uses within <br /> any structures. <br /> Section 7 -5 -915: MATERIALS. <br /> Sections 701.1 - 701.2 - Materials of the Uniform Plumbing <br /> Code are hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> (a) Drainage piping shall be cast iron, galvanized <br /> steel, galvanized wrought iron, lead copper, <br /> brass, extra strength vitrified clay pipe, or <br /> other approved materials having a smooth and <br /> uniform bore, except that: <br /> (1) No galvanized wrought iron or galvanized steel <br /> pipe shall be used underground and shall be kept at <br /> least six (6) inches (152.4 mm) above ground. <br /> (2) No vitrified clay pipe or fittings shall be used <br /> above ground or where pressurized by a pump or ejector. <br /> They shall be kept at least twelve (12) inches (.3m) <br /> below ground. <br /> (3) Copper tube for underground drainage and vent <br /> piping shall have a weight of not less than that of <br /> copper drainage tube type DWV. <br /> (4) Copper tube for above ground drainage and vent <br /> piping shall have a weight of not less than that of <br /> copper drainage tube type DWV. <br /> (b) Drainage fittings shall be of cast iron, malleable <br /> iron, lead, brass, copper, vitrified clay, or other <br /> approved materials having a smooth interior waterway of <br /> 2 <br />
