regularly sold by a bona fide pharmacy. <br /> 13. Adult Motion Picture Theater. An establishment where, for any <br /> form of consideration, films, movies, pictures, video cassettes, slides <br /> or similar photographic reproductions are shown to an audience, <br /> and in which a substantial portion of the total presentation time is <br /> devoted to the showing of material which is characterized by an <br /> emphasis upon the depiction or description of "specified sexual <br /> activities" or "specified anatomical areas." <br /> C. Adult Theater. A theater, concert hall, auditorium or other <br /> similar establishment, which, for any form of consideration, <br /> regularly features live performances which are characterized by the <br /> exposure of "specified anatomical areas" or by an emphasis upon <br /> the depiction of "specified sexual activities." <br /> D. Other Adult Entertainment Establishments. Any other business or <br /> establishment which offers its patrons services or entertainment <br /> characterized by an emphasis on natters depicting, displaying, <br /> describing or relating to "specified sexual activities" or "specified <br /> anatomical areas." <br /> • <br /> Section 5. The land use categories provided in Section 2 above are prohibited <br /> in all land use districts of the City. The Development Services Department shall not <br /> process any applications for entitlements including conditional use permits, variances, <br /> or building permits for said uses until such time as this ordinance has expired or new <br /> zoning ordinances or maps of the City have become operative, whichever is earlier. <br /> Section 6. This ordinance shall take effect upon adoption as an urgency <br /> measure for the immediate preservation of public health, safety, and welfare. Unless <br /> extended by formal action of the City Council, this Ordinance shall be of no further <br /> force and effect forty -five (45) days from the date of its adoption. <br /> Section 7. The title of this ordinance shall be published once and the City <br /> Clerk shall post a complete copy thereof on the City Council Chamber bulletin board <br /> for five (5) days following its adoption. <br /> Introduced by Council Member Pol vorosa on this 20th clay of <br /> May 1996, and adopted by the following called vote: <br /> 4 <br />
