IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO • RESOLUTION NO. 2010 - RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS IN ORDER TO FUND HALF OF THE COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH CROSSING GUARD SERVICES FOR THE SAN LEANDRO UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT AND SAN LORENZO UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT FROM AUGUST 25, 2010 TO JUNE 30,2011 WHEREAS, for the 2010-2011 school year, commencing August 25, 2010 until June 30, 2011. the City Council desires to contribute half of the costs to fund crossing guard services for the San Leandro Unified School District and the San Lorenzo Unified School District as follows: • Three (3) schools in the San Lorenzo Unified School District, all of which are within the boundaries of the City of San Leandro. and • Eight (8) schools in the San Leandro Unified School District; and WHEREAS, the City Council understands and agrees that the school districts will enter into contracts with All City Management, Inc., the crossing guards service provider, and the school districts will invoice the City for reimbursement of half the costs associated with each contract respectively, which, in total shall be in an amount not to exceed $31.000 for both contracts, and WHEREAS, the 2010-11 General Fund operating budget does not provide funds for such reimbursement. NOW. THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows: That the recitals above are true, correct and incorporated herein. That said agreements are hereby approved and execution by the City Manager is hereby authorized, subject to approval as to form by the City Attorney. That the 2010-11 General Fund Operating Budget (expenditures) is increased by $31,000 to provide for the reimbursement to the schools and such increase is funded from General Fund fund balance.
