CNIA Block Grant Local Support 2 September 7, 2010 <br /> The City is required to submit a Resolution of Local Support by September 30, 2010 to receive <br /> Program funding and ensure inclusion of the project in the 2011 Transportation Improvement <br /> Program (TIP). <br /> Analysis <br /> This project will reconstnict Marina Boulevard from San Leandro Boulevard to Washington <br /> Avenue and remove and replace the top four inches of asphalt concrete on Marina Boulevard <br /> from Alvarado Street to Teagarden Street. Curb ramps will be installed along the project limits <br /> to meet current Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards. <br /> The segments of Marina Boulevard included in this project were selected based on information <br /> from the City's Pavement Management System. The Program is federally funded, so the streets <br /> selected must also be eligible for federal grants, which typically includes collector and arterial <br /> streets. <br /> The estimated project cost for design and construction is 51,110,000. The City will use <br /> $303,000 of Measure B Streets & Roads funds to supplement the $307,000 LSR grant. <br /> Applicable General Plan Policy <br /> This action is consistent with Streets and Highway Goal No. 16 of the General Plan and Action <br /> Item 1 6.03-A: Funding for Maintenance. <br /> Code Compliance Review <br /> Environmental clearance will be filed for the project. <br /> Fiscal Impact <br /> The total estimated cost of the project is 51,1 10,000. The City will be reimbursed $507,000, <br /> which is the total grant amount. The required local match of up to $303,000 will be provided by <br /> existing appropriation of Measure B Streets and Roads funds. <br /> Budget Authority <br /> The City Council will be asked to appropriate grant funds as part of this action.
