DRAFT MINUTES <br /> Page 5 <br />July 6, 2010 <br />City of San Leandro City Council and San Leandro Redevelopment Agency Joint Meeting <br /> <br /> <br />Ms. Handa indicated that she reviewed the audiotape of the meeting, and found that <br />there was no clear direction to staff to provide information on a shorter length of term <br />for the tax. With the approval of the Council, she would add verbatim excerpts of the <br />statements made by the Council and cited by Councilmember Starosciak, to the minutes <br />of the June 21 meeting. <br /> <br />M/S/C Starosciak and Prola. Ayes: 6; Noes: 0; Absent: 1 (Stephens) <br /> <br />10. ACTION ITEMS <br /> <br />Public comments are limited to 3 minutes per speaker per item, subject to adjustment by the <br />Mayor. <br /> <br /> <br />A.Report on Closed Session Actions Taken <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br /> <br />11. CITY COUNCIL REPORTS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> <br />City Councilmembers report on their activities, including attendance at Intergovernmental <br />Agency meetings, conferences and seminars, and local events, and make brief announcements <br />on issues of concern. <br /> <br />Members of the Council wished Councilmember Starosciak a happy birthday. <br /> <br />Councilmember Gregory commented on a fundraiser he attended for the Boys and Girls Club <br />last Friday. <br /> <br />Councilmember Souza attended the Boys and Girls Club event; a Business Association of <br />South San Leandro (BASSL) meeting; the Four Paws Society Pawathon; and the East Bay <br />Municipal Utility District bayside grand opening. She announced that she is again working in <br />San Leandro and no longer commuting across the bridge. <br /> <br />Councilmember Prola attended the following meetings and events: a meeting with the CEO of <br />SV Green Tech Corporation; the Ethics Training at the Library; the BASSL & Chamber <br />and the July 4 submarine lost boat memorial service at the Marina. <br />Councilmember Prola commented on the need for the revenue measure. <br /> <br />Councilmember Starosciak thanked the Council for their birthday wishes. She attended the <br />Pawathon, and encouraged the City to complete the Marina <br />th <br />event. She thanked staff for the successful July 4 enforcement, and requested a report on the <br />enforcement efforts. <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Reed thanked the City Attorney and Assistant City Attorney for the Ethics <br />Training presentation. <br /> <br /> <br />
