Action Plan • FY2000 <br /> City of San Leandro <br /> Page 8 <br /> LOCAL <br /> • <br /> Redevelopment Tax Increment Funds: <br /> The City has four redevelopment areas, one of which is a joint City- County Redevelopment <br /> Area. Twenty percent of the tax increment revenues collected are set -aside to support various <br /> programs for the development and preservation of low- and moderate- income housing. <br /> General Funds for Social Services: <br /> The City of San Leandro provides general funds to support the Community Assistance <br /> Program which provides operational funds to nonprofit social service agencies serving San <br /> Leandro residents. <br /> Local Tax Revenues: <br /> Funds may be used for a variety of community development- related areas to provide facilities <br /> and services. <br /> PRIVATE <br /> Community Reinvestment Act (CRA): <br /> Local lenders are encouraged to provide favorable lending terms for projects which involve the <br /> provision and /or rehabilitation of affordable rental and ownership housing. <br /> LEVERAGLNG PLAN AND MATCHING PLAN <br /> For all housing and community development activities, San Leandro will support applications <br /> by other entities to all public and private sources of financing. In the case of matching <br /> requirements for a funding source, San Leandro will use for a match such sources as local <br /> redevelopment funds; local affordable housing trust funds; local road funds; private donations; <br /> services funded by the State, City, and foundations; other local agency funds; and publicly - <br /> owned land. <br /> PUBLICLY -OWNED LAND <br /> The City of San Leandro Redevelopment Agency has the ability to acquire land as needed for <br /> the purposes of development projects which may include retail, commercial, industrial or <br /> residential uses. There are currently no parcels identified for carrying out the activities as <br /> listed in the Action Plan for FY 2000 -01. <br />
