MINUTES Page 5 <br /> City of San Leandro City Council and San Leandro Redevelopment Agency Joint Meeting —July 6, 2010 <br /> Ms. Handa indicated that she reviewed the audiotape of the meeting, and found that <br /> there was no clear direction to staff to provide information on a shorter length of term <br /> for the tax. With the approval of the Council, she would add verbatim excerpts of the <br /> statements made by the Council and cited by Councilmember Starosciak, to the minutes <br /> of the June 21 meeting. <br /> M /S /C Starosciak and Prola. Ayes: 6; Noes: 0; Absent: 1 (Stephens) <br /> 10. ACTION ITEMS <br /> Public comments are limited to 3 minutes per speaker per item, subject to adjustment by the <br /> Mayor. <br /> A. Report on Closed Session Actions Taken <br /> None. <br /> 11. CITY COUNCIL REPORTS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> City Councilmembers report on their activities, including attendance at Intergovernmental <br /> Agency meetings, conferences and seminars, and local events, and make brief announcements <br /> on issues of concern. <br /> Members of the Council wished Councilmember Starosciak a happy birthday. <br /> Councilmember Gregory commented on a fundraiser he attended for the Boys and Girls Club <br /> last Friday. <br /> Councilmember Souza attended the Boys and Girls Club event; a Business Association of <br /> South San Leandro (BASSL) meeting; the Four Paws Society Pawathon; and the East Bay <br /> Municipal Utility District bayside grand opening. She announced that she is again working in <br /> San Leandro and no longer commuting across the bridge. <br /> Councilmember Prola attended the following meetings and events: a meeting with the CEO of <br /> SV Green Tech Corporation; the Ethics Training at the Library; the BASSL & Chamber <br /> mixer at Ricky's; and the July 4 submarine lost boat memorial service at the Marina. <br /> Councilmember Prola commented on the need for the revenue measure. <br /> Councilmember Starosciak thanked the Council for their birthday wishes. She attended the <br /> Pawathon, and encouraged the City to complete the Marina dog park in time for next year's <br /> event. She thanked staff for the successful July 4 111 enforcement, and requested a report on the <br /> enforcement efforts. <br /> Vice Mayor Reed thanked the City Attorney and Assistant City Attorney for the Ethics <br /> Training presentation. <br />
