6/ Effective July 1, 1985, the Police Development Incentive Program pay increments shall be: Monthly Category Educ. /Cert./Time Amount Legend: A P.B. + 3 years S100 B P.I. + 6 years 4% BAC. = Baccalaureate C P.A. + 10 years 5% P.A. = POST Advanced D Bac. + P.I. + 5 years 5% P.I. = POST Intermediate E Bac. + P.A. + 10 years 7% P.B. = POST Basic Only sworn employees hired prior to March 1, 1985 shall be eligible to participate in the Police Development Incentive Program. Payment shall be made by a separate check on or before June 5 and December 5 of each calendar year. Such Program shall terminate effective March 1, 1990. Those swom employees participating in the Program at the time of termination shall continue to receive, by separate payment, that dollar amount which equals the level of education - experience category achieved as of the date of the Program's termination. Such payment shall not continue once an employee terminates employment as a sworn member of the San Leandro Police Department. Educational Incentive Program Sworn employees with five (5) full years or more service with the San Leandro Police Department who are not eligible for the Police Development Incentive Program, shall be eligible for the following educational incentive program: Category Certificate Monthly Amount A P.I. 3% B P.A. 5% • or C A.A. 3% D Bac. 5% Legend: P.I. = POST Intermediate P.A. = POST Advanced A.A. = Associate Degree Bac. = Baccalaureate Maximum amount payable under the educational incentive program is 5 %. Payment shall be made by separate check on or before June 5 and December 5 of each calendar year. Such payments shall not continue once an employee terminated employment as a sworn member of the San Leandro Police Department. In addition, employees in the PDIP program may elect to discontinue participation in that program and participate in the educational incentive program set forth in this section. 14 1/
