2550 Davis St Remediation - <br /> Acceptance of work 2 September 20, 2010 <br /> • On February 16, 2010, by Resolution 2010 -018, the City Council approved the plans and <br /> specifications and call for bids for this project <br /> • On January 20, 2009, by Resolution 2009 -002, the City Council authorized a Resolution of <br /> Necessity determining that the public interest and necessity required the acquisition of a <br /> portion of Assessor's Parcel No. 077A -0649- 008 -22, known as 2550 Davis Street, and <br /> directing the filing of an eminent domain action for the expansion of the WPCP <br /> • On November 19, 2007, by Resolution No. 2007 -143, the City Council authorized the City <br /> Manager to execute a real property agreement for the portion of the property required for the <br /> WPCP <br /> Applicable General Plan Policv <br /> Policy No. 52.05 — Maintain adequate capacity at the San Leandro wastewater treatment plant to <br /> accommodate projected levels of growth within the service area. <br /> Permits and /or Variances Granted <br /> Contractor to obtain necessary permits. <br /> Environmental Review <br /> California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) exemption was previously filed with Alameda <br /> County during the demolition phase of the project pursuant to Section 15301 "Existing <br /> Facilities ". <br /> Fiscal Impact <br /> A summary of the construction contract with 1-HSR General Engineering, Inc. is as follows: <br /> Original Contract $54,070.00 <br /> Change Orders $5,649.91 <br /> Total Contract Amount 559.719.91 <br /> Budget Authority <br /> Project is funded from funds withheld from the amount deposited with the State Condemnation <br /> Fund for the acquisition of the property. <br /> CONCLUSION <br /> Staff recommends Council adopt a resolution accepting the work and filing of the Notice of <br /> Completion. <br /> G: \Council Items In Process\SEP 20 \05 - 2550 Davis St Remediation - ACCEPT\2550 Davis Street Remediation ACCEPT MEM.Docx <br />
