MESA <br /> SECTION D <br /> Statement of Qualifications and Interest <br /> 1. ESA Team <br /> ESA is an interdisciplinary environmental planning and consulting firm <br /> offering services in research, monitoring, and environmental analysis of a <br /> wide range of plans and projects for both public and private clients. With a <br /> staff of more than 250 professionals, ESA offers expertise in all disciplines <br /> relevant to environmental planning, analysis, impact assessment, and <br /> regulation. Celebrating 40 years in the industry, the professionals at ESA <br /> have assisted thousands of clients in analyzing alternatives for all types of <br /> development, from windfarms to bayside parks. We have actively worked in <br /> the San Leandro Roberts Landing area since the mid- 1980's. ESA and its • <br /> team are uniquely suited to carry out the City's Harbor Basin Alternatives <br /> Study, based on our knowledge of local public interests and issues, <br /> regulatory considerations, biological resources existing and potential, and <br /> economic feasibility. <br /> We have assembled a team to compliment our skills, with Phillip Williams <br /> and Associates (ESA PWA, an ESA subsidiary) for wetland restoration at the <br /> ' DMMS, 2M Associates for landscape planning and economic feasibility, <br /> and Moffatt and Nichols for sediment prediction. The background of these <br /> firms is described below, followed by a detailed description offoursimilurly <br /> scaled waterfront projects, either recently completed or in progress. <br /> Phillip Williams and Associates (ESA PWA) <br /> Philip Williams & Associates, Ltd. (ESA PWA), a subsidiary of ESA, <br /> provides professional consulting services in wetland and creek restoration, <br /> shoreline management, coastal processes, watershed hydrology, flood <br /> management, and water resource planning and design. The firm has <br /> completed numerous successful restoration and management plans for <br /> coastal estuaries, shorelines, watersheds, wetlands and riparian corridors, <br /> often working on interdisciplinary teams with resource managers, public <br /> works engineers, biologists and landscape architects.
