The firm's restoration expertise extends from
initial restoration planning and conceptual design, through environmental
compliance documentation, permitting, preparation of design drawings and
specifications, construction observation and post - project monitoring. In
addition to tidal wetlands, ESA PWA provides shoreline enhancement
design.
2M Associates
2M Associates specializes in the planning and design of park and recreation
areas. Founded in 1981, 2M is an award - winning firm that selects its work
carefully, taking on only a few projects at any one time. 2M's work ranges in
scope from large -scale regional plans to the detail design projects. The firm's
outlook well understands the relationship between broad policies and specific
design objectives. Three attributes are common to 2M's approach to work.
These are: listening to the client and the client's needs; developing creative
plans and designs that enhance landscape values; and working with others to
build consensus and support for the project. 2M strongly believes in a
collaborative design process that centers on a willingness to work with
people in soliciting ideas, communicating concepts, explaining solutions, and
responding to points of concern. 2M projects include water -based recreation
evaluation studies, public access and wildlife compatibility designs, site
master plans and feasibility analyses, strategic plans including operations,
partnerships, and funding: and design documentation and permitting.
Moffatt & Nichol
M &N provides a professional and experienced support staff of 500 design -
related individuals who specialize in coastal, structural, civil, mechanical,
electrical, and construction engineering disciplines. The staff includes
specialists in marina operations and reuse, basin hydrodynamics and
sedimentation, water quality, wetland designs and coastal geomorphology as
well as marine structures and harbor engineering. Since all key engineering
design disciplines are represented on their staff, it allows them to meet
project needs with thoroughly integrated projects completed under exacting
quality control standards.
M &N has written design and planning manuals for the U.S. Government that
have become standards in the industry. Their successful technical expertise
on coastal processes has also set the standards in coastal engineering
D -2 Oty of San Leandro Harbor Basin Alternatives Study RFP 50536
