GUIDELINES REGARDING COUNCIL SUPPORT FOR <br /> OR OPPOSITION TO BALLOT MEASURES <br /> (suggested changes in italics) <br /> PURPOSE OF THE GUIDELINES: <br /> The purpose of these guidelines is to describe the City Council's policy regarding support <br /> for or opposition to ballot measures on local, state or national matters. <br /> GUIDELINES: <br /> The City Council as a group will not adopt a formal position in favor of or in opposition <br /> to ballot measures that have not been initiated by or sponsored by the City.
